It might be called XE8. but 92.9 Triple M Perth‘s Xavier Ellis assures you his new fragrance is priceless and available (only in Karrinyup shopping centre) just in time for Father’s Day.
It’s a tough gig when your soccer obsessed kids reckon they’d rather hang out with Cristiano Ronaldo than dad on Father’s Day, which is exactly what Xav’s boys Ted and Alby (Albert) declared. To win back their approval, Xav decided if you can’t beat them, join them and made the decision to launch XE8, ‘The Everyday Man scent’ to rival Cristiano’s signature fragrance.
A lot went into the production of the scent, including one drop of sweat from Xav, collected by (fill-in) co-host Dani Shuey in her sauna. Poor Dani who is covering for Katie Lamb while she takes maternity leave, probably didn’t have that on her breakfast radio bingo card.
To launch the fragrance, Xavier took part in a Ronaldo inspired photo shoot on the beach, and they produced the commercial version that you can watch above.
The fragrance launched yesterday at Karrinyup Shopping Centre with a giant billboard (see below) and Xav giving away 50 free bottles. We’ll wait and see whether the boys are impressed with dad’s new smell.
