Bad news for Southern Sudan station – Good News Radio off air for weeks.

Rumbek Catholic Radio, Radio Good News, has been off air due to transmitter failure.,
 
The managing director for Radio Good News 89.0 FM in Western Lakes State, Luka Di Gumwil, said the station has been off air for close to two weeks but a new transmitter will soon be purchased by partners, particularly USAID VISTAS/AECOM.
 
He said: “In fact, we are apologizing to our audience and many of our community listeners who have been listening to Radio Good News to get news and information. They have been approaching us, asking why we have been off air.”
 

Gumwill explained: “Of course, when transmitter is not working, the radio cannot operate. Certainly, we are in the process of getting a new transmitter.That should help.
