ABC, SBS ‘cannot be immune’ from cuts: Audit Commission

THE ABC and SBS cannot be immune from funding cuts and should have their services benchmarked against each other and commercial broadcasters to find savings. The Commission of Audit finds there is “no right level of funding’’ for the ABC or SBS and the broadcasters “have the ability to improve their efficiency’’, better target their spending and achieve more value for taxpayers’ money.
