Studio Tech (Contractor/Casual) Triple R overview Triple R is a Melbourne community radio station, broadcasting from Wurundjeri country. Since its inception in 1976, Triple R has shaped and inspired the culture of Melbourne and become Australia’s most influential community broadcaster. Triple R has over 16,000 paid subscribers and an estimated 800,000+ monthly listeners. General role description Triple R's broadcast and business operations are conducted from premises in Brunswick East. The facility houses:  3 hybrid analogue/digital on-air studios. Each is equipped with microphones, turntables, CD players, a solid-state recorder, a computer playout system and a general-purpose computer. The outboard equipment is controlled by PKE CSC-1 analogue consoles  A digital production suite, comprising 3 Pro Tools-equipped control rooms and a voice booth  A live performance space equipped with digital mixing and signal processing, analogue FOH and stage monitors and a modest microphone library  A dedicated control/rack room incorporating broadcast chain processing, STL, SOB and monitoring equipment, analogue routers and a comprehensive patching facility The Studio Tech is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all studio equipment in consultation with Triple R’s Contract Broadcast Engineer.
