The Department
SBS Technology can be thought of as the ‘engine room’ of SBS. Our primary role is to enable and support the production, distribution, and transmission of content across television, radio, and online platforms.
Our teams achieve this by working collaboratively to design innovative solutions and deliver end-to-end services for our business stakeholders.
The Role
The Radio Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing service delivery to internal clients and stakeholders, providing support and guidance to the Radio Operations team, and working closely with management to provide reporting and feedback on resources and broadcast content delivery.
It is a requirement of this role that incumbents are fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccination in line with the ATAGI guidelines which include booster shots. We do however have a medical exemption process and we would be happy to discuss your application should this be applicable to you.
About you
This is an exciting leadership role, driving a team to meet objectives in a unique and colourful environment surrounded by great people.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed in an often-high-pressure environment.
- Strong experience in a broadcast environment and an ability to co-ordinate resources and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills, proven experience in supervising and managing an operational team and a demonstrated ability to implement procedures and work processes in an “ON AIR” environment.
- Experience in the technical aspects of radio operations and/or broadcast technologies is ideal, while a solid understanding of audio principles and production is essential.
