There is a new leader in Canberra: Survey 1 2021

What a difference a year can make in Canberra with the results of Survey 1 2021 published today.
After 12 months there have been mixed fortunes for stations in the nation’s capital with Mix 106.3 at the top, while the fortunes of hit 104.7 plummeted 9.0 to 11.0, dropping from first to third.
2CA and ABC Radio Canberra both had good gains across all sessions.

Raiders legend, Terry Campese joins the 2CC Raiders Call Team as lead game caller, along with Brent Ford and Chris “Cobby” O’Brien who has been a stalwart of 2CC’s Raiders commentary for over 25 years.

Changes at the top in Canberra: GfK survey

Hit 104.7 has made significant gains across all sessions, gaining 4.6 overall to 20.0%, dominating the latest GfK survey of the nation’s capital.
Mix 106.3 drifted slightly, down 1.5 to 16.8% with ABC Radio Canberra down 0.3 to 11.2%.

There was more than one great fund raising concert on last Sunday!

Beyond the Blaze is the brainchild of Mick Bond, after the Carwoola fires three years ago.

This family event, held in Bungendore under unexpectedly clear skies, donated all funds raised, $18,770, to the local RFS and Salvation Army Fire Fund.

Karl takes over from Steve Price

Karl Stefanovic filled in for Steve Price today at 2GB, and began the program by sledging the regular host saying He's lost complete contact with the real world and that's why I'm in here this afternoon... to bring a bit of real back."

In his first hosting job since leaving Today, Karl took over the show today and was joined by Clinton Maynard who serves as anchor, as the pair broadcast to 2GB, 4BC and 2CC.


Commercial radio in Canberra goes digital

  The Edge Digital – urban R&BCommercial radio will officially switch on DAB+ digital radio broadcasts in Canberra tomorrow providing digital quality sound and more station choice for listeners in the capital.
All four commercial radio stations, 2CA, 2CC, Mix 106.3 and Hit 104.7 will broadcast in digital, alongside several commercial digital-only stations, with more new stations to launch in coming months.
