2SER FM annual radiothon begins next week

2ser FM Sydney is offering listeners the chance to ‘Grow Your Own Radio’ by subscribing
during the annual Radiothon. This year’s Radiothon runs from Monday October 15 to Friday October 26.

2ser is a “grass roots, locally focussed,” volunteer driven community station. As 2ser receives no government funding, it relies on financial contributions from listeners and members of the community to continue to provide cutting edge radio.

Not only does 2ser play a huge role in the exposure and promotion of alternative music. It also stands alone in its coverage of under-reported news and current affairs, and has done so for over 28 years.

Ingrained in the culture and sound of 2ser is its commitment to social justice and political change, and it makes a concerted effort to provide a voice to those in our community that are not otherwise offered the chance.

During the radiothon the station community will be invited to contribute to “growing their own radio station” by making a contribution to 2ser. The cost of subscription ranges from $33 a year concessions, to normal membership of $66. Lifetime Subscriptions are $600 and Business subscriptions are $250.

On top of access to great prizes and discounts all year, every subscriber will receive a
special subscriber pack which includes a Spunk compilation CD and a copy of 2ser’s annual
magazine, with the first 500 subscribers also receiving a copy of The Monthly magazine. Everyone
that subscribes between now and October 26 will also go in the draw to win their share of the
Radiothon prize pool, which includes an Intrepid Travel trip for two to Northern Thailand, studio time at
Big Jesus Burger studios, a bike and accessory pack from Woolys Wheels, CD and DVD packs,
theatre and gig passes, magazine subscriptions, and so much more.
