4BC Drive host Mark Braybrook has spoken about his future after an article appeared in the Courier Mail saying that his last day on air would be this Friday.

Braybrook plans to take a holiday then try to renegotiate his workload to be able to cover more sport rather than host a shift.

He told his listeners this afternoon:

"That is true, I have planned holidays for the non-ratings period for months, so I won’t be here come Monday.

Karl Stefanovic will be on-air while I go fishing.

Alan Jones program to face a review

2GB advertisers have received a letter from Macquarie Media chairman Russell Tate promising a review into Alan Jones program after it fell below the community standards expected of the broadcaster.

Karl takes over from Steve Price

Karl Stefanovic filled in for Steve Price today at 2GB, and began the program by sledging the regular host saying He's lost complete contact with the real world and that's why I'm in here this afternoon... to bring a bit of real back."

In his first hosting job since leaving Today, Karl took over the show today and was joined by Clinton Maynard who serves as anchor, as the pair broadcast to 2GB, 4BC and 2CC.
 

 

Alan Jones is now live on 2CC Canberra

2CC’s program schedule now features The Alan Jones Breakfast Show, The Ray Hadley Morning Show, and the brand new Steve Price Show (12pm-3pm).

Confirmed: Alan Jones has re-signed with 2GB

Macquarie Media Limited has just confirmed to radioinfo it has re-signed Alan Jones, the host of its 2GB Sydney and 4BC Brisbane breakfast radio programs, to a new two year contract which will commence on July 1st 2019 at the conclusion of his current contract.

In announcing the signing, MML Chairman Russell Tate said he was very pleased that Jones would continue to be an integral part of the Macquarie on-air team for at least another two years.
