96FM’s Botica’s Bunch will have a new name from Monday, with the legendary Fred Botica deciding to retire after 50 years in radio.
 
Dean “Clairsy” Clairs will join Lisa Shaw on-air from Monday to launch 96FM’s new breakfast show, The Bunch.
 
Although The Bunch won’t officially launch until next week, Clairsy will be on-air at 96FM from tomorrow morning for Fred’s final show of Botica’s Bunch.
 

This week Mark ‘Smiley’ Pascoe celebrated the incredible milestone of 30 years in Perth radio.

Just a week after announcing that Paul Hogan and Lisa Fernandez were leaving, 96FM has moved to reclaim its Perth heritage with the return of Botica’s Bunch for Breakfast, hosted by arguably the best voice in the history of Perth radio, Fred Botica, and his long-term radio partner Lisa Shaw.

Speculation of changes at 96FM has been confirmed by ARN, with the announcement that following a review of the station’s strategy and direction, 96FM will soon have a new Breakfast show.
 
As part of this review Paul Hogan and Lisa Fernandez won’t be returning after the mid-year survey break.
 
Of the change, Paul and Lise said “We have had a great time at 96FM and are fully supportive of the new direction that the station’s taking and we wish 96FM much success.”

As Mothers’ Day approaches this Sunday, AirCheck Australia looked at the Top Department Stores, Fragrances, Jewellers and Beauty Services running ads during the last four weeks on radio, TV and Pay TV.

Target was the most advertised department store with a massive 4,288 spots across 31 outlets with more than 10% of these spots were on MTV alone, followed by Channel 7 Sydney.

The first metro GFK survey for 2019 goes into the field on Monday and runs until March 2^nd with the results released on Tuesday March 12th.

ARN have settled on a summer line-up.

According to an Aircheck Survey, during the last month on radio, Nine News was the most advertised TV Brand with 843 instances across 19 stations and while Seven News aired spots across 22 stations it only totalled 541 ads, sending the brand to fourth place.

Channel Seven’s new dating programme, ‘Take Me Out’ was the second most advertised brand with 715 spots across 32 stations while 'The Bachelor Australia', set to air its finale tonight, in sixth place, airing 362 spots across 12 stations.
