Cody Schaeffer takes a break from radio

Radio host Cody 'The Code' Schaeffer has resigned from 97.3 in Brisbane to work on his own non-for-profit organisation Borderline Youth Camp.
Best known for his time at B105 in their 2018 re-boot of the Black Thunders, Cody went on to host B105 Weekend Breakfast on the 'Jase, Em & The Code' show.

Moves at Triple M Brisbane and B105 see Angels fly north

Jamie Angel is returning to Brisbane to take up the role as Creative Director at Triple M Brisbane, as well as anchoring The Big Breakfast alongside Marto and Margaux. His stint hosting 2Day FM breakfast finished at the end of last year when Hughesy, Ed and Erin took over the shift.
Dave Ferrier moves into a newly created nights show on the Triple M Regional Network and will be live coast to coast.

River runs wild in Ipswich in a win for Live and Local: Xtra Insights

River 94.9 has consolidated its lead in the latest Xtra Insights Survey up 3.2 overall to 29.6 and making it the station listened to most in Ipswich, and marking a win for live and local.
Brisbane’s B105 is the next closest station, up 0.4 to 14.7 with Nova 106.9 further back on 8.6.

B105's Stav Davidson steps out for the RSPCA

B105’s breakfast announcer Stav Davidson and his new dog Angus are leading the way this May in support of the RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk.
Working with The Barracks, the home of SCA’s B105 and Triple M in Brisbane, and the RSPCA, SCA Brisbane has hosted the inaugural Dog Day where 24 staff brought their dogs to work.

Brisbane’s stages may be dark and silent right now as the city works through the latest lockdown, but that doesn’t mean that the greatest showtunes of all time can’t be celebrated, and that’s just what B105 is doing this week.
In a move that sees the station throw away their playlist, B105 Content Director, Jack Ball, says that tomorrow, Thursday, B105 will count down the 50 best showtunes of all time, as voted by Brisbane!

Ever since he was a kid, the B105 breakfast radio star, Matty Acton, has been bragging to anyone who would listen about his “legendary” sprinting talents.
Matty insists that when he was 12, he broke his Gladstone school’s record for the 100m dash in “13 seconds flat”, but Stav and Abby discovered their friend had been living a lie.
According to the school's current PE teacher Mr Peters, he actually ran the race in 13.8 seconds AND tied with another boy.

SCA revenue expected to rise and 2Day FM to get a new breakfast show in 2021

Southern Cross Austereo have reported a full year revenue of $540.2 million or 18.2% lower than the prior year and an EBITDA of $93.0 million that was 36.9% below the comparable amount in the prior year.
Metro radio revenue was down 25.3%, while regional radio performed somewhat better, although advertising revenues were down by 13.1% on 2019.
In contrast, revenues from digital audio streaming and podcasting doubled to $7.1 million.
