Bec Cosi & Lehmo release their own wine

SAFM’s Bec, Cosi & Lehmo are hoping to provide the South Australian wine industry some welcome relief by launching their own wine for the show.

The Bec, Cosi & Lehmo Shiraz, in partnership with ShowBlock Wines, is available online and at all good bottle shops.

After China imposed tariffs on wine exports back in August 2020, South Australia’s wineries have been financially hit hard and many producers have experienced backlogs of wine.

Cosi says, “When China introduced tariffs on SA wine it crushed many in the wine industry. I am very passionate about helping growers and wineries through this period. We are asking SA to drink the wine that China said they do not want. I am very confident South Aussies will embrace this by buying up on wine. It’s wonderful we can use our position in the media to help move this backlog of our world class local drops.”

Lehmo says, “My commitment to the SA wine industry has been a longstanding one but to broaden that support by partnering with a local winery and sell our own tasty drop is a genuine thrill. Together we can all drink the SA wine industry to economic freedom!”

Bec added: “This is a wine win-win! We get to help the SA wine industry out of a tight spot while launching our own Bec, Cosi & Lehmo label. We would love to see our wine on dinner tables and at barbies around the state. Keep an eye out for our drop at your favourite bottle-o.”

With all proceeds going towards impacted wine producers, The Bec, Cosi & Lehmo Shiraz can be purchased online at SAFM.com.au or at local liquor stores.
