CRA's Radio Alive conference this Friday: Full Program and venue details

The radio industry is converging on Brisbane for this Friday's Radio Alive conference and Saturday night's ACRAs.

It's the big industry event and of course radioinfo will be there to cover it.

Our advance team, Peter and Wendy are already in sunny Brisbane and report that there may be some showers tomorrow for anyone arriving the day before, but that Friday will be sunny. Hot days between 28 - 31 degrees are expected.

Radio industry unites for streaming app

The commercial radio industry will join forces with the ABC and SBS to launch the first Australian mobile app that will allow listeners to live stream more than 250 Australian radio stations.

Commercial Radio Australia announced the new RadioApp at today's National Radio Conference, as part of a strategy to make listening on tablets, smartphones and computers much easier.

Adam Lang began his opening remarks by paying tribute to Rebecca Wilson, who passed away overnight, then talked about his passion for radio.
“We all share the same passion for radio,” said Lang.
“Radio thrives on… we have the courage to innovate, sometimes to fail, but many times to win.
