Digital Radio roadshow rolls into Sydney this Friday: places still available

There are still some places left for the digital radio symposium being held at AFTRS in Sydney this Friday afternoon. The seminar costs a token fee of $40 and aims to update radio industry staff on what they will need to know to make great radio in the digital radio era, which begins in January 2009. Free drinks follow the seminar.

Following the Sydney symposium, the AFTRS Digital Radio Roadshow will travel around Australia to provide easily accessible information about how digital radio will work and what radio industry staff can do to be part of it.

The Roadshow aims to inspire and stimulate innovative content creation ideas.

The symposium will cover:

• How Digital Works and how it fits into the multimedia landscape

• Digital Radio Policy – briefings from CRA, CBAA, ABC and ACMA on sector policy positions

• How Digital Radio is working in Australia

• “Up-selling” and how Digital Radio can Value Add

• Transferring your Brand to Digital Radio

• Program Directing in the Digital Radio Era

• Studios and Staffing for Digital Radio

Radio Branch’s Kim Rigby has told radioinfo: “The event is priced very cheaply so that everyone can afford to attend, and even have a few drinks on us to lubricate discussion afterwards. The Sydney event is soon, in March, and the other events will happen during the year in each state.”

The Sydney event is this Friday 16 March 2007 at the AFTRS building in North Ryde.
