FNMA seeking aspiring First Nation journalists

First Nations Media Australia (FNMA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from FN people interested in becoming multi-media journalists.

The competency-based training, conducted over a six month period, includes practical and theoretical sessions in news, photography, audio and video production techniques including professional led Masterclasses. Participants also get to attend a 5-day training session in audio and video production techniques at Batchelor Institute.

Successful participants receive a Certificate of Attainment for the relevant Units of Competency and then will produce regular news and current affairs reports featured on IndigiTube and social media.

Interested individuals can fill out the EoI online form or nominate someone else would benefit from the training. Applications close March 8, 2024.
