Fresh Student Radio is part of World College Radio Day

Melbourne’s online Fresh Student Radio Station will be hosting World College Radio Day at Victoria University Footscray Park Campus on Friday the 5th of October.

World College Radio Day is an event that happens once a year all over the world showcasing the capabilities of student radio and  brings together students from all different backgrounds, cultures and countries.

Fresh Student Media President, Cameron Cook says “This will be an amazing opportunity for Fresh Student Media as this will showcase our talent as a student media organisation and allow us to be part of a Worldwide event. This will allow us to show of some amazing talent, that will look good to potential employers for our talented members.”
 

The station features a variety of programs created by students for students, including ‘The Music Jungle’.

Fresh Student Radio is based in the heart of the bustling Footscray at Victoria University’s VU @ Metro West Campus and is a partner of the Footscray University Town Initiative which is a partnership between Victoria University and the Maribyrnong City Council.

The broadcast will be a live event on the day where the station will be hosting games, prizes, a sausage sizzle and even Krispy Kremes.
