After 25 years, Geelong stations rebrand for 2016

Monday 21 December, 2015

Geelong’s ROCK and BayFM has launched a new-look station branding.

Created by local Geelong based design firm Ken Lawson Design, both brands have been carefully developed to not only capture each station’s individual attributes, but to also sit comfortably together under the Geelong Broadcasters (and broader Grant Broadcasters) banner.

The previous K-ROCK logo has been around since the station first launched in 1990 and was synonymous with its edgy rock-based format.

After almost 6 years co-hosting breakfast radio in Geelong, Paul ‘Chicken’ Dyer has called time on what he described as being a great experience.

A former 2004 Big Brother contestant, fanatical surfer and owner of surf company Winkipop Surf Industry, Dyer said:

“Being a breakfast announcer has evolved in so many ways in 6 years. Long hours, lots of meetings and lots of appearances. I look forward to a quieter (not so) public life, I also look forward to being my own boss again.”

Bay FM & K Rock drive Jobs4Geelong

Friday 07 March, 2014
It's been a tough few weeks for Geelong with the news that the city is likely going to lose thousands of local jobs.

So Geelong’s biggest media organisations have come together to run a campaign to reinforce that the city is not on the ropes, but is a vibrant, positive centre with a strong economy that’s going through a time of transition.

Grant Broadcaster’s radio stations Bay FM and K Rock, along with the Geelong Advertiser newspaper are putting their considerable people reaching power to good use with the "Jobs4Geelong” campaign.
