Geelong Broadcasters moves up a level

83 Moorabool Street in Geelong has been home to K rock and bay 93.9 for nearly 30 years.

And this week, the Geelong Broadcasters team packed up their desks, boxed up the old CD racks, and made the move to level one after a new studio and office build was complete last Friday.

General Manager Andy Mathers welcomed the team into their new home, saying ‘The reaction from the team when we moved into the new facilities last week justified the enormous amount of work and years of planning we have put into this amazing new space.

‘I will admit there were a few moments shared by some of the team when leaving level three for the last time; 29 years of memories and wonderful times shared.’

K rock Content Director, James Speed was pumped for the new digs, ‘It’s always an exciting day to walk into a radio station and do what we love, but walking into THIS radio station makes it even better.’

bay 93.9 Content Director, Mark Hyland said ‘After 22 years with Geelong Broadcasters, this has been the biggest change to our facilities I have seen.

‘The state of the art studios and office space ensures the radio stations will be the best in the country for many years to come and is a real vote of confidence for Geelong market.’
