Southern Cross Austereo has entered into a long term partnership with property owner QIC to provide out of home solutions in shopping centres across Australia.
 
This new and innovative model will see QIC provide the audience and infrastructure and SCA provide compelling audio visual content for shopping malls with large format digital screens situated in high traffic areas such as food courts.
 

Triple M & Supercars Australia sign exclusive radio partnership

Southern Cross Austereo  has signed a five-year exclusive radio partnership with Supercars Australia to promote the sport through the Triple M Network.
 
SCA's CEO Grant Blackley said it was excited to partner with one of Australia's leading sports.
 
"Supercars is one of the most important and influential sports in Australia and is absolutely aligned with our core fan base on Triple M," he said.
 

SCA partners in podcasting

Southern Cross Austereo  and PodcastOne have signed a long-term partnership to create PodcastOne Australia, a brand and platform that will bring the best in podcasting directly to listeners.
 
SCA will operate PodcastOne Australia as the exclusive partner in Australia and New Zealand  with select SCA podcasts made available in the US on the PodcastOne platform. 
 

Triple M - the FM cricket test broadcaster

SCA records 19% growth in net profit

Southern Cross Media Group Limited has announced its financial results for the full year to 30 June 2016.

Highlights of the results included:

  • Growth across all key financial measures with advertising revenue growth across metropolitan and regional media assets outperforming the market.

  • Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) up 19% after revenue growth and substantially reduced financing costs.

  • A reduction in Net Debt by $166.7m or 33% to $340 million with continued divestment of non-core assets.

SCA Queensland managers resign

Southern Cross Austereo’s Nick Scott has announced he will be stepping away from his fulltime role as General Manager of the Gold Coast’s Sea FM, Gold FM and TV business.

Nick’s last day as General Manager will be 1st July 2016, after which he will continue on in a part time capacity through to December 2016, assisting with overseeing key client and community relationships with SCA in the region.
