Some of Australia's top media personalities are battling it out for the opportunity to land the #1 spot on a suburban Dad's car radio.
Over the weekend, an Instagram post on influencer and socialite James Donald Forbes McCann's page caught the attention of the radio world.

Hit 107 Adelaide fights back against female jogger assaults

In light of recent events in Oaklands Park which have seen police launch an investigation into a man who attacked a female jogger last Thursday, and another woman about a month earlier, Hit 107 Adelaide's Bec and Cosi have decided to send a message of solidarity by hosting Reclaim The Run.

Everyone has the right to walk or run on our streets and feel safe. There is no reason to make someone else feel unsafe.

AirCheck looks at the crossover tracks in Adelaide and Perth

With the release of Survey 1 figures yesterday, AirCheck has analysed the crossovers of Adelaide and Perth radio stations.

In Adelaide Hit107 and Nova919 shared a quarter of their playlists while Hit spun a greater variety of tracks. Ava Max’s ‘Sweet But Psycho’ was played the most over the two CHR stations, heard 460 times during the six week period.

hit107 Adelaide held a dinner to officially launch the station's new breakfast show with Bec & Cosi.

Cosi is no stranger to radio, having spent time at SAFM and Triple M, and is the host of Channel 9’s 'South Aussie With Cosi'.  

Bec, who grrew up in Adelaide, has presented Network Ten’s Adelaide bulletin,TEN Eyewitness News First At Five for over a decade and also worked at SAFM in 2012.

Former SAFM (now Hit 107) announcer Sam Mac (Sam McMillan) will replace Edwina Bartholomew as the weather presenter on Sunrise.
Originally from Adelaide, Sam got his big break in radio when he won the SAFM ‘Who Wants to Be a Co-Host on Air’ competition.
Sam went on to host his own late night show on SAFM before joining Triple M’s ‘Wil and Lehmo’  as their writer, panel operator and on-air segment host.

Former SA FM announcer Andrew "Cossi" Costello has posted photos on Facebook of the old Greenhill Road studios being knocked down.
Triple M and the rebranded hit107 have moved to purpose built studios in the centre of Adelaide.
Cossi says he has mixed feeling at seeing the building demolished.

Friends of a Facebook page "Adelaide Remember When" have shared details of when SAFM, back in 1987 started to dominate the ratings.

It was The Morning Zoo with John Vincent, Grant Cameron and Anne Fulwood.

SAFM commenced broadcasting in 1980 with a call sign of 5SSA and an original on-air ID of "Triple SA-FM" which was soon replaced by "Double SA-FM". It was the first commercial radio station to broadcast on the FM band in Adelaide. Later, it changed its name to "SAFM".
