5MU’s Ian Wright is making a sea change move after 49 years in radio and taking on the Station Managers role at Happy FM, Victor Harbor, SA.
Ian says, “At the ripe young age of 66 and in my 49th year in radio, the time and opportunity to make a move is spot on. The 'Station Manager' role for me at Happy FM is multifaceted, both 'on' and 'off air'.

2KM-2MC Staff Reunion numbers are continuing to grow with almost 50 attendees already confirmed for the September 20 get together.

Organiser, Ian Wright, says the reunion will mark the 82nd anniversary of the commencement of 2KM and the night is a chance for is not just for former on-air talent,  but ex staff members full time, part time, casual & contractors from 2KM-2MC.

 Ex-employees of Kempsey’s 2KM are getting set for a reunion of staff in September this year to mark the 82nd anniversary of the establishment of the station.
2KM covered the Kempsey, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie area from 1937 until 1980.

The radio industry is mourning the death overnight of former announcer and journalist/newsreader, Rob Jackson.

His daughter Kerrie contacted Ian Wright asking he let the industry know of her dad's passing, after a spell in hospital.

A short time Ian posted this on The Radio Green Room, giving radioinfo permission to share.
