Communications Minister, Helen Coonan, will launch the Community Radio sector’s national Listener Survey today.

The comprehensive national survey of community radio audience reach, which was conducted by McNair Ingenuity, is expected to surprise national media and advertising industries.

The survey, funded by the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts through the Community Broadcasting Foundation, surveyed more than 5000 people around Australia.

Other speakers at the launch will include Tanya Plibersek, ALP Member for Sydney, and Aden Ridgeway, Democrat Senator for NSW.

Also at the launch there will be performances by Deepchild (2SER’s Electroplastique) and Todd Williams (Country Music’s 2003 Starmaker of the Year).

The launch will take place at 11am at the CBAA headquarters in Botany Road, Alexandria.
