Mumbrella360 conference hosts women in radio

This year’s Mumbrella360 conference (June 12-14 Hilton Hotel Sydney) has once again brought together sectors of Australia’s media and marketing industry, featuring panels and presentations from senior executives at Buzzfeed, Microsoft, Google, PxC, QBE and a radio-studded lineup for the Women in Media panel.

The panel featured WSFM breakfast co-host Amanda Keller, Fox FM presenter Fifi Box, 3AW’s The Weekend Break co-host DeeDee Dunleavy, Angela Nova Drive’s Kate Ritchie, and moderator and Network 10 Entertainment editor Angela Bishop

The group spoke of forging succesful careers in media – an industry often dominated by men – and how content creation has adapted to a multi-platform environment.

Kate Ritchie tweeted ‘I’m the one on the far left who feels as though she won the golden ticket to share the stage with these #womeninmedia’.

The international keynote from Liz Serotte, Vice President of Marketing Communications at State Street Global Advisors, discussed the innovative thinking that led to the creation of Wall Street statue ‘Fearless Girl’, its promotion of gender diversity and the massive social media impact it had, with one billion Twitter impressions in the first 12 hours.
