Newcastle Live makes the switch to an all Aussie playlist

After celebrating the first birthday of its online station, Newcastle Live has made the switch to an all-Aussie music playlist, featuring stacks of local talent all day, every day.

Publisher of Newcastle Live, Steven Pickett (pictured), says, “We play the best of Australian music and highlight the great talent coming out of our local scene, right here in Newcastle.

“Local music is a huge part of what Newcastle Live is about and to have locals as a part of our regular playlist, in every program and across every hour, is something we pride ourselves on.”

Newcastle Live’s station programming has grown to include four regular programs, streaming from 9 am until 6 pm every weekday, and six specialty programs across the week.

Managing Editor, Dan Beazley, says, “A lot of people listen to live radio for nostalgia, so we’ve got plenty of that with acts like Deborah Conway, Baby Animals, Midnight Oil and Silverchair but we’re also sharing our love for amazing locals like Grace Turner, Cooks & Bakers, Raave Tapes and The Viper Creek Band.”
