After more than a decade working at triple j, including presenting the Saturday night House Party and more recently as the host and producer of acclaimed dance music program, Mix Up Exclusives, Nina Las Vegas will present her last show on triple j before she heads off to launch her own record label and continue to focus on her thriving international producer and DJ career. 
 
In her time at triple j, Nina made triple j’s House Party program a household name, launching its first CD and club tour. She also brought us endless Mix Up Exclusive sets from big name producers such as Skrillex, Diplo, RL Grime, Hudson Mohawke, Four Tet and Maya Jane Coles. She’s helped kick start the careers of so many Australian electronic artists, including now international names like Flume, Alison Wonderland, Flight Facilities, Wave Racer and Tkay Maidza. Plus she’s worked tirelessly to champion female electronic artists and will continue to do so around the world.
 
Nina says “For the past decade triple j, the Australian club scene, supporting local artists and pioneering new electronic music has been my life. I walked into triple j as a work experience kid at 19 and literally worked every job right up until House Party and Mix Up Exclusives. Thank you to triple j for the incredible experience and especially to the triple j listeners for listening to my first triple j mixtapes, calling in to House Party, coming to House Party gigs and texting in when I play something crazy on Mix Up Exclusives.” 
 
While we’re sad to farewell the triple j host, we’re also excited to see what Nina has in store, with NLV Records’ first signings to be announced next week, including Nina’s own release on the label, plus a series of international NLV shows dropping before the end of the year. 
Before Nina jumps on a plane to the U.S.A., you can catch her final Mix Up Exclusives show at 9pm Sat 24 Oct, which will feature sets from some of Nina’s favourite producers, famous friends and the biggest names in the biz. 
 
Then in November, as part of Ausmusic Month, Mix Up will feature residencies from some of the best Australian electronic artists, including Peking Duk, One Day, Elizabeth Rose and Basenji. Following this, you can hear the best Mix Up sets from 2015 across the summer break. When Mix Up returns in January 2016, you can expect a whole heap of special monthly residents taking over the show with exclusive sets each and every Saturday night.
