Sarah Maree Cameron moves to afternoons at Nova 100

Sarah Maree Cameron will be nova 100’s new afternoon announcer in 2015.

With over seven years broadcasting experience, Sarah Maree got her start in commercial radio in Canada. She has travelled around Australia for radio roles at Nova 100, Star FM, K-Rock, Hot 100 Darwin and Sea FM Central Coast, and as host of several national music shows for metropolitan radio stations. 

Cameron won an ACRA while hosting a nationally syndicated show on Truck Radio in Albury.

Meshel Laurie & Tommy Little are celebrating their first year as Nova 100’s breakfast team by taking their listeners on an end of season trip to Los Angeles. 

Meshel & Tommy will broadcast their Melbourne breakfast show live from the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Boulevard from Monday 1st December at 6am.

The duo will chat to well-known Aussies working in the USA including comedian Wil Anderson, actor and radio announcer Cameron Daddo and actor Bernard Curry along with other international guests.

It's been one year since Nova 100's Meshel & Tommy stepped into the studio together to take on the huge challenge of presenting breakfast, and they've done a brilliant job of presenting a warm, funny and engaging show.

Rohan Brown has been appointed to the role of Nova 100 Program Director in Melbourne.

Brown joined NOVA Entertainment in 2008 and has been Program Director for the successful smoothfm network since the station launched in May 2012. Brown has over 17 years programming experience, both on and off air, across multiple radio stations and networks.

Nova 100’s Meshel & Tommy are bringing free laughs to local venues around Melbourne as their local comedy tour kicks off today.

Nova and comedy are synonymous, with the station enjoying a long term partnership with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and over the past two year’s Nova holding ROFL Room comedy events showcasing up and coming comedians during the Comedy Festival. Meshel & Tommy’s Local Comedy Tour is a natural progression of this relationship.

Nova's Cass to return to UK

Nova Entertainment's Assistant Group Program Director and Nova 100 Program Director Mike Cass has tendered his resignation to return to the UK.

Over the past four years Cass has made many contributions to the company during his time in Perth and Melbourne, not the least creating the highly acclaimed Nova 100 Meshel & Tommy breakfast show and leading the implementation of NOVA Entertainment’s cutting edge playout system Zetta.

Ashley was in the Nova studios yesterday with Meshel & Tommy when Tommy shared details of their first meeting three or four years ago at the races after he had talked his way into a marquee and tried to introduce himself to her.

When Dave Hughes was interviewed recently by Meshel, one of the new Nova 100 breakfast hosts, to promote his Melbourne Comedy Festival stand up show – the question that had to be asked came up.
Why did you leave radio? And the response was simple:
“I love comedy, and I love stand up. I have always been jealous of comedians who come on radio shows or TV shows I’ve been on just for a few minutes to promote their show. I’ve been jealous of those people for years.”
