Good clean fun... well, not so clean

Thursday 17 July, 2014
Proving that there's always a way to put a new spin on some good clean fun, Nova Sydney's Fitzy and Wippa were inspired by the latest BMW ad to attempt a new version of the classic tablecloth trick.

The BMW ad shows a motorbike going from zero to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds in an attempt to pull the cloth out from a fully set banquet table.

Hear what was cut out of Fitzy and Wippa's show

Wednesday 16 July, 2014
It didn't get to air, but it has gone online.

This week MasterChef's Matt Preston accidentally let the F word slip out on Fitzy and Wippa's Nova 96.9 breakfast show.

The slip was well covered in the media, so Fitzy and Wippa presumably decided to give it a run online.

So far this week in Sydney Kiis' Kyle has throw up on air, 2Day twitter followers have glimped Sophie Monk's breasts and Nova listeners have seen Preston swear.

It must be the first week of the new ratings season.

Fitzy and Wippa get the low down on Premier Mikey Baird

Wednesday 23 April, 2014

Fitzy and Wippa had the new NSW Premier, Mike Baird, on the show yesterday where he revealed his favourite songs (Power and the Passion and Sold Rock), his wife’s nickname for him (Mikey) and that Prince George is a bit of a terror during the Royal Visit to Bear Cottage which he hosted.
The Premier was a bit nervous to begin with but he got into the swing of things until he was told, the next time he's on the show they'll be asking for a karaoke rendition of the Power and the Passion. We can't wait for that one.

More April Fools trickery

Tuesday 01 April, 2014

When Melbourne listeners thought Mix 101.1’s Chrissie and Jane had revealed the My Kitchen Rules winners in an interview with eliminated contestants Carly and Tresne, all hell broke loose.
The switchboard melted down, and an angry Manu came on to the show…to reveal it was all just an April Fools Joke.

Monday 31 March, 2014

Nova’s programming bosses had a rough morning today when Fitzy pretended to have a meltdown live on air on and quit in the latest Fitzy and Wippa stitch up for April Fools Day.
PD Brendan Taylor and APD Tony Aldridge were left shouting outside the studio windows to shut the segment down, before finding out the segment had only been aired inside the Nova Sydney offices.
