PM admits to driving porcelain bus on Nova 969: Audio

The honeymoon for the Rudd government may be over with the older demographics, but with younger voters he’s still the consummate breakfast guest on the FM band. This morning the Prime Minister was up for a lengthy chat with Merrick & Rosso & Kate Ritchie about what exactly happened over the weekend.

As you’ll hear, Kevin Rudd is the master of casual banter and the boys don’t mind calling him “mate” despite the high office he holds. He was a little confused about what he ate at the footy but he did say it caused him to drive the porcelain bus.

Mr Rudd challenged Rosso to a bike race next time he’s in Canberra. It would certainly be a publicity coup if it came off. Then again, the challenge may not have been meant as a core promise.
