Six Australians from the radio industry have been named on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List, receiving Order of Australia awards.

 

Philip Stuart BRADY, Kew Vic 3101

For service to the broadcast media industry. Service includes:

Broadcaster, Radio 3AW, since 1970s.

Host, Concentration’, Everybody’s Talking’, Nine Network, 1960s.

Host, Moneymakers, Junior Moneymakers’, Casino Ten’, Get the Message’, Password’, Network Ten, 1970s.

Member, Patrons’ Council, Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria, over 10 years. Australia Day Ambassador.

Co-Recipient, Best On-Air Team in Australia’, Australian Commercial Radio Awards, 4 occasions.

For service to the broadcast media in South Australia.

South Australian Television Personality and Entertainer.

Holds the record for the most number of Logie Awards won – 19 awards.

Starred in the 1964 Telethon Quest.

Started as Weather Girl in 1965.

Has appeared on a range of television shows including ‘ In Melbourne Tonight’, ‘The Bert Newton Show’, ‘Good Morning Australia’, ‘A.M. Adelaide’, ‘Movie Scene’, ‘Close Up with Willsy’ and ‘Clapper Board’.

Weather Presenter – Seven Nightly News Adelaide.

For service to the broadcast media industry, and to the community.
