Sunday 13 January, 2019

Just back to work this week?

Radioinfo joins the Australian Press Council

Thursday 10 January, 2019

The Australian Press Council has welcomed radioinfo as a new member, along with five other new members accepted at the end of 2018.

We are responding to you: improvements to our website

Thursday 01 March, 2018

Regular readers of radioinfo will remember a survey we did last year asking what you would like from us in 2018.

The overwhelmingly top comment was for us to make our website 'responsive' so that it would easily adapt its size to mobile phone and tablet screens.

We listened to you, and have worked with our IT support team to grant your request.

As of this week the radioinfo site is now responsive, which means that when you look at it on your mobile phone, it will be easier to read and navigate.

While you were on holidays...

Thursday 18 January, 2018

The Aussies have won the Ashes, there was at least one fantastic stinking-hot summer beach day, we've consumed the last of the Christmas fruit platter, left over ham and Christmas cake, the New Year sales have passed, so now it must be time to end the holidays.

If you are preparing to go back to work, commiserations... oops, er, welcome back!

It’s like calling the Sydney Morning Herald and asking to speak to Malcolm Turnbull: Wendy calm under pressure

Thursday 11 January, 2018

As an industry trade publication about radio, we are sometimes mistaken for radio stations themselves.

Our Admin Manager Wendy Whalley is listed as our main contact, and she gets some 'interesting' interactions from listeners who are trying to contact YOUR radio stations, but actually ringing, messaging or emailing radioinfo.

Wendy has chronicled a few of the more 'outstanding' examples she received last year:

Happy Christmas from radioinfo

Thursday 21 December, 2017
The ratings are finished, the replacement announcements are (nearly) all made...

and Christmas holidays are approaching.

So now we can legitimately get into the Christmas spirit and do our usual holiday happy dance for you.

Happy Christmas from Peter, Steve and Wendy, and our reporting team this year: Emily, Kim, Frank, Georgia, Liam and Mayank.

Speaking at Radio Alive 2017 Steve Ahern discussed the challenges of journalism in a dangerous world.

Alongside radioinfo, Steve also runs Ahern Media and Training, specialising in broadcast training, curriculum development and new media which has taken him to some of the ‘media-dark’ countries in the world including Afghanistan.
