Radio Computing Services (RCS) has announced a major investment in Florical Systems Inc (FSI) to enhance its digital asset management capacity.

RCS, which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with over 7,000 customers worldwide, specializes in software for the radio industry.

FSI is known for its advanced enterprise level digital asset management systems and television automation software innovations called CentralCasting and ShareCasting.

RCS President Philippe Generali has told radioinfo: “We had been searching for the perfect company to help broaden RCS software capabilities for years.

“Florical not only complements our products and services perfectly but the Florical people also share our vision, values and dedication to quality assurance.”

Florical’s President Jim Moneyhun says: “RCS’ incredible structure for sales and marketing software around the world will help us move forward rapidly with our global expansion plans. With our companies having a common customer base on the ownership side, we will be able to build stronger relationships in radio, TV, cable and the Internet.”

Generali says he is looking forward to working with President Jim Moneyhun and Vice President Sunda Scanlon.

“We see this expansion for both companies as a way to achieve our ultimate goal of helping our customers create the best possible viewer and listener experience.”

RCS software is used by more than 7,000 radio stations, TV music channels, cable companies, satellite music networks and Internet stations worldwide. RCS is the world’s leading provider of broadcast software.

RCS also provides tools and expertise for webcasters and offers advanced real-time audio recognition technology to several industries.

Florical Systems produces broadcast automation systems for satellite asset acquisition, media asset management and on-air broadcast automation actively used in ShareCasting, single and multi-channel systems.

Florical pioneered ShareCasting since the first on-air deployment in 1995 where common programming with regional commercials and news provides market localization. Florical’s customer base includes high profile cable networks, network owned and operated stations, individual network affiliate stations, PBS stations and more.
