Cosi's great new idea isn't new and isn't his

When Cosi introduced his brand new segment, Biscuit Wars on SAFM he told his co-hosts Bec and Lehmo that not only was this idea “his own”, one “…that other stations wish they were doing” and that “never has there been a better radio idea than this”.

This morning he found out that, like most things in radio, it wasn’t a new idea and that just up the road Power FM had already run the Battle of the Biscuits.

SCA revenue expected to rise and 2Day FM to get a new breakfast show in 2021

Southern Cross Austereo have reported a full year revenue of $540.2 million or 18.2% lower than the prior year and an EBITDA of $93.0 million that was 36.9% below the comparable amount in the prior year.
Metro radio revenue was down 25.3%, while regional radio performed somewhat better, although advertising revenues were down by 13.1% on 2019.
In contrast, revenues from digital audio streaming and podcasting doubled to $7.1 million.

SCA brings back the heritage brands SAFM and B105

“We are calling the radio station the same thing you’ve been calling it for the last five years” and with that statement, B105 was back on Brisbane radio.
SCA is bringing back local heritage brands SAFM and B105 from today and adding two well-known locals to the Adelaide and Gold Coast breakfast crews.

As B105 station relaunched its name the newest team member of the breakfast show, Matt, got to achieve his dream:

Friends of a Facebook page "Adelaide Remember When" have shared details of when SAFM, back in 1987 started to dominate the ratings.

It was The Morning Zoo with John Vincent, Grant Cameron and Anne Fulwood.

SAFM commenced broadcasting in 1980 with a call sign of 5SSA and an original on-air ID of "Triple SA-FM" which was soon replaced by "Double SA-FM". It was the first commercial radio station to broadcast on the FM band in Adelaide. Later, it changed its name to "SAFM".

New home for Hit 107 Adelaide

Southern Cross Austereo's Adelaide operation will move out of its Unley studios next week to a shiny new home in an office block in the centre of Adelaide.

The station will relocate from its former home, at 128 Greenhill Rd Unley, to the 13th floor of 70 Franklin St Adelaide.

The move coincides with the rebranding of the station from the historic SAFM to the newly introduced Hit name.
