The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age’s weekly news podcast, Please Explain, is going daily, rebranding to Please Explain Daily.
 
The expansion follows on from a trial during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 

The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age are increasing their podcast library with three new series, the relaunch of the popular Real Footy, and expansion of the weekly news podcast Please Explain.

Associate Professor, Journalism, University of Wollongong, Siobhán McHugh, has collaborated with The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald to produce a new 10-part podcast investigative podcast, The Last Voyage of the Pong Su.
 

ABC RN staff have moved a no-confidence motion against radio management over recent radio division cuts.

More than 60 Radio National staff met at the broadcaster's Ultimo office today.

The CPSU has confirmed to radioinfo that staff unanimously passed a motion of no confidence, citing " systemic failure" in senior radio management and "the erosion of the editorial and managerial responsibilities of executive producers."

Sydney Morning Herald editor Judith Whelan, has been appointed ABC Radio's Head of Spoken Content, to oversee its talk networks and programs.

Judith will provide editorial and creative direction to meet the overall strategic goals of ABC Radio and the wider corporation. 

As Head of Spoken Content, Whelan will be responsible for ABC Radio’s flagship programs within the Capital City radio network, Grandstand and the ideas network RN.
