Tamworth Broadcast Services a big part of the 2024 Golden Guitar Awards

Community station Tamworth Broadcast Services TBS (96.3fm/88.9fm) were a star themselves during the 2024 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards joining with B Network to broadcast the ceremony of Australian country music’s night of nights to an estimated 1.2 million listeners on 41 community stations.

CEO of B Radio Network, Gary Smith, said:

“The coverage will be an enormous boost for the Awards and will reach such a large audience across Australia, showcasing country music talent. This is the first major event for B Radio Network, with more planned over coming months”

Around 150,000 people attended the Tamworth Country Music Festival with TBS saying the station’s Festival highlight was its exclusive live coverage of the red carpet, which featured the stars prior to the Golden Guitar Awards. Pictured from the carpet are winner of 40 Golden Guitars, Troy Cassar-Daley, and his wife, Laurel Edwards, being interviewed by 96.3fm/88.9fm’s Ray McCoy and Emma Bailey.

Laurel Edwards is also part of 4BC Brisbane’s Laurel, Gary and Mark, a three decade plus breakfast radio veteran and last year inducted into the ACRA Hall of Fame, as well as Cassar-Daley’s wife. Nine Radio’s Ray Hadley was also honoured for his long standing support and promotion of Australian country music with a Country Music Capital Award.
