Double J and triple j announce summer holiday line-ups

Double J’s Rock Up will feature some favourite heavy music heads across summer including Costa Zouliou, Stu Harvey, Adalita, Andrew ‘Haugy’ Haug and Francis Leach as they smash the best new stuff, undiscovered gems and a heap of classics too, Wednesdays 8-10pm with an encore Saturdays at 9pm.

Tim Rosso’s presents A Very Christmasy Christmas, 8-11am Tues 25 Dec, and just like those annoying in-laws, has invited himself over to your place for Christmas.

Protests as triple j presenter forgets to vote in Hottest 100

In the style of a true crime thriller, Liam Stapleton is taken away, questioned by police and sent to jail after protests get ugly outside the ABC studios.

triple j's Liam, along with brother in crime Ben, are the lead actors in this year's marketing video to promote voting in the Hottest 100.

And there's cameos from ABC and commercial tv news presenters and a heap of musicians.

Ben and Liam prank the ARIAs… again

Last year triple j’s Ben and Liam pranked the ARIAs by sending in three imposters.
This year they went one better and sent in two listeners impersonating themselves.
The triple j breakfast hosts last year sneaked three listeners into the music awards pretending to be Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, Adam Hyde from Peking Duk, and Meg Mac.

Wollongong radio survey shows local is still best

Despite the incursion of Sydney station into the Illawarra, local stations Wave FM and i98 FM show why local radio is so important to Wollongong listeners
In a survey conducted by Xtra Insights that involved up to 1200 respondents between 15 October to 3 November 2018, both stations consolidated audience with Wave FM up to 16.2 and i98 FM up to 29.1.
ABC Illawarra also added some audience to move to 15.3.

Ben and Liam's car giveaway

triple j’s Ben & Liam delivered a free car to a triple j listener this week!
Sure, its Ben’s old paddock basher from his dairy farming days, it’s nearly out of rego and he accidently made yoghurt in the boot once, when he spilled 5 litres of milk, but it’s a car nether the less and listener Karli from Coffs Harbour was the lucky one to get it.

triple j, Double J and triple j Unearthed go full Aussie in November as part of their Ausmusic Month, a month-long celebration of Australian music.
This year there will be more live music than ever before, putting the spotlight on emerging acts as well as artists who have been championed by the ABC from the start of their career.
Included this year, Missy Higgins & Friends Live, an intimate show in the Melba Spiegeltent in Melbourne. 

triple j announces finalists for the DMA remix

triple j Unearthed has revealed the finalists for the DMA’S remix competition, with a selection ranging from heaving electronic bangers to spoken word poetry, piano ballads and more.
Australian producers, beatmakers, rappers and vocalists have flipped and remixed ‘The End’ by DMA’ in a surprising number of ways.

BROCKHAMPTON perform at triple j's Live A Version

Surrounded by candles and armed with strings, BROCKHAMPTON came through triple j’s Like A Version studio this morning to perform their original song 'San Marcos'.
Then BROCKHAMPTON’s Bearface took the lead to cover Alicia Keys’ ‘Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)’.
