Triple J is celebrating its 40th year of broadcasting with a concert featuring an all Australian line up in the Domain on January 16th next year. The day will be simulcast live on triple j around the country and aims to encapsulate the cultural impact triple j has had over the last 40 years.

In 1975, a little radio station called 2JJ launched in Sydney, changing the face of Australian radio forever.

No, he's not being lured to commercial radio or a victim of ABC budget cuts, which he made clear in a cheeky song to announce the news today.

The song, titled ‘I’m F***ing Off!’, told listeners that, after 10 years, he is leaving triple j to focus on making music (and getting married).

Mental Health week on Triple J

Japanese Wallpaper, also known as Gab Strum, is a talented multi-instrumental singer and producer who makes electronic music. He's also just 17.

2014 triple j Unearthed High Finalists Announced

2014 sees triple j Unearthed High celebrate its seventh year of unearthing the very best high school music acts in Australia. The initiative was set up to encourage students to start writing and recording their own music and has seen past winners like Lunatics on PogosticksAsta, Stonefield and Hunting Grounds go on to release music and tour it around the country.
