22 year old rapper Philly is triple j Unearthed's National Indigenous Music Award winner.

triple j Unearthed partners with the National Indigenous Music Awards to find the best unsigned Indigenous act in the country. The competition is now in its third year.

triple j is "overwhelmed" by the outstanding Indigenous music submitted to triplejunearthed.com from all over Australia, including the talented previous winners Thelma Plum and Robbie Miller.

Got a jacket, jumper or cardie hibernating in your cupboard? Donate it to help raise money for the people who really need it.

The Red Cross, Salvos, Vinnies, Lifeline and The Smith Family have 1000s of charity stores and donation bins across the country, and are ready to accept anything listeners can spare.

Mildura's thirst for live music satisfied with triple j's One Night Stand

Every year triple j takes a bunch of Australia’s best musos to a regional town – one that’s starved of live music - to put on a free concert the likes of which the area has never seen.
 
This year the One Night Stand took over Mildura, on the Murray River, where over 17,000 locals and visitors joined hundreds of thousands of listeners tuning in on the radio and TV.

Production guru Gerry Caulfield passed away last week after suffering a sudden heart attack. He was farewelled yesterday at Northern Suburbs Crematorium in Sydney.

Gerry was in production for 2SM at the height of its fame, then later worked at Triple M and the ABC's triple j. He also worked at Foxtel's country music channel.

Gerry was aged 64.

Survey 2 for 2014 has seen Triple J go from 4th to 2nd spot in the competitive Perth market.
 
The result comes off the back of increased awareness of the station at the beginning of the year following the Hottest 100 and the rebranding of Dig Music to Double J.     
 
Manager Chris Scaddan (pictured) said he was really pleased with the results.
 

WZRDKID triple j's latest Unearthed artist

Futuristic hip hop group WZRDKID has taken out over 90 local Mildura acts to be selected to open triple j’s One Night Stand concert on 17 May.  
 
triple j wanted to give a local act the opportunity to play alongside acts Illy, RÜFÜS, Dan Sultan, Violent Soho and The Jungle Giants on the festival stage.

Triple J launches new station Double J with Myf Warhurst

After six months of audience and industry consultation, triple j and the ABC are rebranding Dig Music to Double J from Wednesday 30 April. Kicking off the very first show will be former triple j host Myf Warhurst, who will present a daily music show on the new station, with more presenters and innovative programming to come.
 
With a focus on new music, Double J also celebrates the iconic music you grew up with and brings with it unprecedented access to the triple j interview and sound archives.
