Australian generosity during the bushfires is the ABC focus for Australia Day

The ABC will focus on the communities most affected by the ongoing bushfires as part of its 2020 Australia Day coverage.
The ABC will broaden its Australia Day coverage this year to include stories from the regions that have been impacted by bushfires.  Emergency broadcasting, however, will remain at the core of its service for those communities still under threat from bushfires.   

Sally & Erica complete their induction for the j's

Sally & Erica have been inducted as 2020’s Breakfast hosts by triple j’s secret society, ready to begin their shift next Monday.
The induction featured appearances from Kevin Parker, Matt & Alex, Linda Marigliano, Gen Fricker, Peking Duk, Ocean Alley, and previous hosts, Ben & Liam.

Voting for triple j's Hottest 100 countdown kicks off next week, and will be open until Monday 20th January.
On Saturday 25 January triple j will count down the Hottest 100 songs of the year, then on the public holiday, Monday 27 January, they’ll back it up with the songs that just missed out, the Hottest 200.

Earlier this week former triple j presenter Zan Rowe tweeted about the national youth station's changed lineup, congratulating the new team and commenting on the sense of disenfranchisement that some listeners may have been felling as their favourite presenters were replaced by a younger team.

triple j's 2020 lineup is now complete

triple j is kicking off new the decade with some fresh new voices on the radio.
Joining the 2020 line-up as the new host of triple j Mornings is Lucy Smith.
Lucy is currently covering on Breakfast and for the past year she’s been a triple j regular, filling in for Mornings and Lunch. She was previously at FBi Radio.

Linda Marigliano and Gen Fricker are the latest to leave triple j

triple j Mornings presenter Linda Marigliano will be leaving at the end of this year.
Linda has been a triple j mainstay for 10 years, originally starting out on triple j Lunch and Drive with Scott Dools.
When she returned to the station in 2012, Linda was an instrumental force in creating the format for triple j’s new release program Good Nights, which she hosted before moving over to Mornings in 2018.

Tom Tilley says farewell to triple j
