ABC Melbourne newsreader Jim Graham has passed away, aged 63.
He had been on the ABC airwaves in Victoria for more than 20 years, with a radio career stretched back several decades in both commercial and ABC radio.
Jim Graham had also worked for the ABC in Queensland, at Melbourne radio stations 3MP and 3UZ, 3GL Geelong and Bendigo's 3BO.
He was still presenting the afternoon news until a few weeks ago, when he took leave after suffering a heart attack.
He had been recovering in hospital and at home, but died on the weekend.
Adam Bowen, part of the “comic backbone” of triple j in its early days, has passed away.
He appeared regularly on the Jono and Dano show as comic character Roger De Suave and was also part of the writing team of the satirical radio show Brunswick Heads Revisited.
He was also heard with Ian Rogerson on the musical journey show Route 66 and, from 2004, was a regular film music commentator on the Classic FM program Lights, Camera, Action!
Geoff Marshall has passed away in Sydney from complications of dementia, aged 88.
Geoff worked as an announcer at 2RG Griffith, 2NX Newcastle and in Sydney at 2UE and 2CH.
He was known for his versatility in being able to present any music or talk shift and for his warm mellow voice, which was the voice of 2UE news for many years.
