Respected Newcastle GM of Bill Caralis’ Super Network, Guy Ashford, told 2HD and NEW-FM staff at a meeting this morning that he will soon be leaving the network to take up a dream job on the Gold Coast.

He declined to elaborate on his new position at this stage but said that over the past six years he had had the time of his life at the Newcastle duopoly. However, he felt that it was time to move on as the new job offer was too good to turn down.

Mr Ashford promised to speak exclusively to radioinfo once the formal resignation process with the network had been finalised.
