100 Most Played Songs on Radio 2015

Uptown Funkby Mark Ronson Feat Bruno Mars was the most played song on Australian radio in 2015.

AirCheckTM released the figures today showing ‘Uptown Funk’ in the top spot with 20,234 spins and Walk the Moon with ‘Shut Up and Dance’ in second place with Airplay of 18,637 times. 

AirCheck, monitors the airplay of songs and commercials on ALL 54 commercial radio stations 24/7 in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Central Coast, Newcastle and Geelong, plus Triple j and FBi-FM in Sydney and Fresh FM in Adelaide.

Similar to last year, the No.1 song had a substantial lead with 1597 more plays than the runner up ‘Shut Up and Dance’ from Walk The Moon.

Nova 96.9 in Sydney played Uptown Funk the most during the year, 1180 times, followed by Nova 100 Melbourne and Nova 919 in Adelaide with 1157 and 1112 instances respectively.

Keith Williams, RCS Vice President Asia Pacific said, “Disappointingly there are no Australian songs in the Top 10 most played this year and only 12 songs in the Top 100 of 2015 compared to 20 last year. There are two Australian songs in the Top 20, #14 Vance Joy – Fire & the Flood and #17 Kygo Feat Conrad Sewell – ‘Firestone’. ”
