2GB’s Deborah Knight tells listeners of cancer scare

Deborah Knight will soon go under the surgeon’s knife to remove a cancerous growth.

The 2GB afternoon presenter told listeners:

“I got my results from the bioscopy on the bump on my nose that my dermatologist was worried about.

“I told Ray about it when I had the big whopping band aid on my nose about this time last week… well it’s not the best news. It is a small basal cell carcinoma.”

She told her listeners the cancer is not spreading and the operation is not urgent.

“It’s a small cancer and it’s nodular which means I’ve got to get it cut out. I’ve got to go under the knife.”

She told listeners: “Get your skin checked, we can’t afford not to in Australia. We are the skin cancer capital of the world.”

No sooner had Deborah Knight informed listeners she was about to go under the knife than this ad appeared next to her photo on 2GB’s website.
