95.5 KRock covered the Melbourne Soundwave Festival live in a station first, bringing backstage access and interviews with some of the music’s biggest rock bands.

Program Director Leigh Kuhlmann says “We want to lead the way in Geelong with the best access to the biggest events in town, with professionalism and entertainment. Our team put together a comprehensive coverage and had fun doing so.  All the hours, the sweat, lead to a fantastic result. That’s why I spent all my time holding up the bar”.

Music Director Lee “Stampsy” Stamps was impressed with the line up at Soundwave 2015.  “What a weekend!  To speak with the biggest names in music right now including Fall Out Boy and the biggest bands in rock and metal including Slipknot, Smashing Pumpkins and Incubus we definitely raised the bar in what we can do as a station and as a team.  This will go down in a top 3 moments in radio for me. A huge thank you also to the lead singer of Lamb of God who helped us maneuver the foosball table back into the van.  It goes to show, even if you are a headliner, everyone pitches in!”
