97.3 Coast FM Breakfast Crew helping to raise money for Cure Cancer Australia

Most people don’t need an excuse to hoe into a bacon and egg barbecue breakfast, but there was added incentive at RAC Mandurah last Friday morning. 97.3 Coast FM teamed up with the auto club for a gold coin donation breakfast to raise funds and awareness for Cure Cancer Australia.

Current employee of the year for RAC Wes McClelland was diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of blood cancer in January of this year. Wes’s Warriors, a fundraising team formed in honour of Wes raised over nine hundred dollars from the barbecue breakfast.

Breakfast team Ali and Wade braved the miserable weather to help out with the tongs and give away some prizes. While people were munching on their breakfast, the RAC Mandurah team made good use of the time carrying out free car safety checks.

One in two families are touched by cancer in their lifetime and Cure Cancer Australia is determined to improve prevention, detection and treatment outcomes to reduce the suffering caused by cancer.
