97.3 FM’s Cody Schaeffer is Brisbane’s Young Citizen of the Year

Brisbane Radio Personality Cody ‘The Code’ Schaeffer has taken out Brisbane’s Young Citizen of the Year at the Lord Mayor’s Australia Day Celebrations.

His award recognises his work in media, the Brisbane Greeters volunteer program, Rotary & his very own ‘Borderline Youth Camp’.

The Borderline Youth Camp is a not-for-profit and free weeklong experience for anyone aged 15-18, featuring exciting & relatable guests speakers, unique life changing activities and the attendees meet a crew of new mates from either side of the QLD/NSW Border.

This camp is fully funded by donations and run by volunteers all year round.

Best known as ‘The Code’ on Hit105 in Brisbane; Cody made his mark on Brisbane radio as the driving force behind the Black Thunders every morning during the Stav, Abby & Matt Show

Cody went on to host local-weekend breakfast on Hit105 on the Jase, Em & The Code show with Jason Strozky & Emily Dickson (Channel 10) and in late 2019 made the move to 97.3 to keep up his work in promotions & brand activations and more possible on-air work in 2020.

“The team at 97.3/ARN are amazing, I instantly feel like I am a part of a huge family here” said Cody.
