Acast scores with first original podcast

Acast, has launched its first original podcast series, The Score: Bank Robber Diaries, following the captivating story of Southern California’s most prolific bank robber Joe Loya, who went from an abused child to big-time criminal, and then a former convict with a shot at redemption.
 
Produced by Ben Adair who is known for producing podcasts like Dr. Death,Young Charlie and Reveal, the series is the first co-production of Western Sound and Acast Studios, the new content development arm of Acast. 
 
“The true-crime podcast is in something of a golden age right now, but what we and Acast Studios have pioneered with The Score is a twist to the format by having the criminal himself, recount his life of crime,” Ben Adair explains.
 
“I’ve wanted to bring Joe’s engrossing and jaw-dropping story to listeners for a long time — from his troubled childhood, to his crazy heists, to his powerful ability to transform and forgive”
 
The first episode of The Score: Bank Robber Diaries launches today and is available on Acast, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and all other platforms.
