The 2004 class of AFTRS Radio Students graduates today in a gala ceremony to be held at North Ryde, Sydney from 4pm.
More than half the graduating class have already been offered jobs.
AFTRS Head of Radio, Steve Ahern says, with 9 out of 14 students already employed, and a further 5 awaiting offers, the students are “poised” to contribute strongly to the future of commercial radio stations around the country.
“Potential employers should get in quickly before all students secure employment… Radio stations will need to snap up the fantastic radio talent coming out from AFTRS this year.
“These students are an outstanding group of talented broadcasters, and they will make a strong contribution to Australian radio with their enthusiasm, skills and drive.”
A crowd of 150 guests from all facets of the commercial radio industry will join the students in marking their achievement at a gala ceremony at AFTRS on Friday,
September 10.
