Airtime Surveys offers its latest innovation for sourcing and recording vox pops

Regional Radio Audience Measurement company Xtra Insights is also the driving force behind a new music and content research platform, Airtime Surveys.

More than just a research tool, Airtime Surveys have released a feature that makes sourcing and recording vox pops easier than ever, Airtime Voice.

While many stations use listener voice grabs on-air to promote their product, less than 5% of listeners ever communicate with their favourite radio station making gathering voice grabs an extremely time- and labour-intensive process.

Airtime has gone straight to the source of active, engaged listeners, the Community Members.

Airtime Voice allows participants to record an audio response to open ended questions, rather than typing one and, with their permission, these recordings can then be used for promotional purposes, dramatically reducing the time and effort once required to source and produce vox pops.

This feature has already enjoyed great success among the stations using it, with Drew Chapman of River 94.9, saying, “It worked a treat… it’s a great thing to have on the surveys… I can’t tell you how valuable it is to have access to these audio grabs for on air promos”.

More information and sample recordings are avaiable on the Airtime Voice website.
