Alan Aldworth conquers the Cape to Cape

Triple M Southwest’s Alan Aldworth has just finished the Cape to Cape track between the lighthouses of Cape Naturalist and Cape Leeuwin.

Coming off the back off Allan’s Parmi Army, he took on the famous track that runs for 135km’s along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.

Over 7 days, Allan shared his journey with Southwest WA whilst broadcasting his breakfast program live each morning.

He says that it was a massive challenge he wasn’t sure he could do “There was over 14km of walking in soft sand, lots of hills and way too many snakes for my liking. We had a tonne of listeners sharing their love and support on our social media pages which was great. I just hope that it inspires people out there and go do something as challenging as this.”

Featuring spectacular coastal and forest scenery and an ever-changing display of wildflowers, Alan says the Cape to Cape is a must do and the walk was worth the all of the blisters, sweat and tears.

On Sunday 14th October at 11:00am Allan officially conquered the Cape by planting his hand firmly on the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse.
