Alan Jones and Ray Hadley chip in their own cash to rectify ‘2GB for Me’ calamity

This month, 2GB is giving its listeners the chance to win a share of $60,000 in cash with ‘2GB For Me.’

The rules are simple (or so they thought …): listeners register on the 2GB website, and if the station calls, answer within five rings saying ‘2GB For Me.’

With $2000 up for grabs this week, it all went wrong after a little mixup.

‘Hello?’ said Joanna from Blackhurst.

‘Joanna from Blackhurst!’ exclaimed Jones. ‘You’ve won two thousand bucks. Oh wait … did I get it wrong. They’re all frowning at me now! Joanna you were supposed to say 2GB For Me.’

Listen below.

After the mixup, Alan Jones and Ray Hadley decided to step chip in their own money and make things right.

Hear how it turned out below.
