Alan Jones may be back on Monday

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Alan Jones may be back behind the 2GB microphone as early as Monday next week.
 
Two years ago, Jones had 4 months off air due to a back operation, and more recently having had a number of other procedures to try and alleviate the pain, the 77-year old’s recurring back pain had him back in hospital.
 
Adding to the pain may be the recent confrontations Jones has had with the board of Macquarie Media following a number of contentious moments onair recently, including the interview with Louise Herron from the Sydney Opera House, and the suit brought on by the Wagner family.
 
Shareholder were told at lasts weeks AGM that the board had dealt directly with Jones following the Opera House interview and that following the Wagner case new rules and new procedures were put in place.
 
Alan Jones position as the king of Sydney breakfast radio is still intact, even with a 1.5% fall in his audience, he still has a 17% share of breakfast listeners, well in front of both the ABC and KIIS on 10.7%.
